Loneliness

Contributed by Arwen on Friday, 28th May 2004 @ 11:32:15 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Despair floods through, uncontrolled and overwhelming.
No path opens before me, just blank currents of nothing.
I want to exist no more...
I still haven't found a purpose, a reason
for remaining.
Even companionship can't fill up the emptiness.

Take away this stagnation, may the time flow faster...
Bring age and doom nearer...

Perhaps one day my entire being shall turn to dust.
With one final breath, its spirit shall
Find the freedom and closure it seeks.

Away from society, away from hypocrisy.
Away from the cold, sneering faces.

That time could never come sooner...

Oh I've had so many of those days...chin up; today someone spoke to me that I thought never would speak to me again...life is worth living. Sometimes the fog makes it hard to see though....

Alas, Arwen, think not like this! Maybe things seem this way now, but there is always light to be found on our roads. Keep on, you will find it.
Namárië.
