I've called to the sea
And echoed in her depths
I've drifted through daydreams
And gazed at her sunsets
I've seen her full wardrobe
In blue and green dyes
And even shades of yellow
Where the sands fill her eyes
I've stared at her children
As they slip through her waves
And been caught in her scent
Left in a beautiful daze
But wanting even more
I've called to the sea
But despit all my yearning
She's never called me
