Two years have gone by now
Since that rainy April morning
The devastation that occurred next
Came without any warning
How could she have known
When she kissed him and
Sent him on his way
He would never make it
To school that day
The man didn't see him
Step off the curb
Only screeching tires
Could be heard
The ambulance hurried him
To the hospital
He was still in shock
His face all bloody and bruised
Tire tracks were all up his arm
He kept screaming
"Mommy, mommy, I want my mom!"

Wow, that's very good and at the same time extremely sad. I hope it's not true, but if it is I'm so sorry for your loss. |
