selfstruggles
|
There they stand
On the top of the mountain
Looking down on me
With taunting laughter and pity
Footholds hide from view
My tears bleed at the thought of you
Rain falls like flaming needles
I can’t out-climb my gruesome evils
Closer, closer to the mountain’s top
Trembling arms yearning for the drop
Light embraces black in the last dying ember
One last tear falls, falls in my final surrender
