Still Fishing

Topic: ChildrensPoetry

Under the sea Thats the place for me
Where bubbles and chuckles are all that matter.

Swim through the waves
there thundering roars free .
They roll and the crash up against the rocks , mixing with the foamy currents and me.
I dreamt I lived there and my friends were the fishes and we all went for a meeting in the cove one day.

Sat Mr Groper Fish ,he was the Judge .
With his big Pucker lips blowing bubbles by themselves
I thought he was sleeping,
his eyes were just slits .
Then suddenly there came a wave of Dolphins swim in.

"All are accounted for . Settled and been fed, "saluted the Biggest Gray Fin.
"Except this new one before you . She says-
She wants in."
Growing Bigger The Puffer Fish said,
"What is your business and What can you offer?"
"I ...,whispered me ,"I can offer only Happy Thoughts and Magic things "

"Magic and Song ? We Don't need them here.
You want that sort of thing you should be up there." He said pointing his fin.

"Up there Dear sir ",I whispered,
"Is where I began ."
"But I so wanted to join ,
The Sea Gang down here."

"Up there I had to speak , And use foolish words .
Words with double meaning and Words that weren't meant to hurt but did.
Like Trust, Love and I forgive."

I had this bright idea that if I were a fish ,My words will be found only on the expression of my face.

"What of Magic and Song ? How do you propose to do that?" asked the Judge accusingly.

"I thought prehap I might enlist the aide of the Moon.." but they didnt let me finish.

"A Way with you now . Your a strange One,
But I must say you speaking to me and your lips are not moving.. so whatever you are
there just may be a place for you here. "

For the simple reason being only
We'd liked to Lisen and Learn.

To be contuined

Whisper
