~Forgotton~

has everyone forgot her
has everyone ignored the emptyness
forgotton her presence
they must of because she was not breathing
even when she was alive
what was the difference
i guess you dont know
she was remembered at least for a second
by me
another day and she was forgotton
another moment in her life wasted
her lips didnt move once
even though she was talking
but not with her mouth
her heart beat like a sign
singing out crying out
save me
am i forgotton
or has life just passed me by
and im stuck in the shadows
for this time to let go
she was forgotton
for a life time
she wondered
no smiles
happyness is a sin
one thought she had was
am i forgotton or is this a dream
has the world turned a blind eye to my face
am i invisible
cant you see
im crying out
im screaming louder
everyday
my voice is breaking
my heart is already broken no one can fix it
will i be left in pieces
or shattered in two
like the rest of the world
i can see you
cant you see me
im beside you
as you sleep
can you feel my tears
can you feel my hand
i need to touch someone
i need to feel
the warm rush of life
i need to be remembered
not forgotton
remember her
her face was unlike any other
it had a heart shaped soul
look into her eyes
wait you cant its too late for memories
that have already been forgotton
it wasnt her fault
she tried
she never gave up
unlike you
you shut her out
choked her
she died
remember
or
forgot

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
