Just a razor blade kiss

Slit my wrists.
Feel the blood oozing out of that thin razor blade line.
Clench my hand to feel that sensation, so sublime.
A feeling that I knew I could no longer resist.
Just feels like a razor blade kiss.
Such an intoxicating feeling almost addictive.
You ask why, it’s just so I can feel to live.
Barely deep enough to kill me, yet enough to bleed
You think this a stupid and awful deed.
Watching the blood run down my arm.
Doing it in a frame of mind so calm.
So relieved I feel to have seen that red liquid.
Do think of this as my last bid.
Because its not I’m still very much alive.
As always I manage to strive,
To carry on living no matter how hard.
Just this time I didn’t cut as easily as lard.
This is not I trying to kill myself.
Just want to feel the freedom from that one little cut on my own arm.

THIS WAS VERY HARD TO READ. I DON'T KNOW THIS PERSON. I HOPE THIS GIRL, FOR THAT IS WHAT SHE IS, FOUND OTHER WAYS TO FACE THE REALITYS THAT ARE THE WALLS OF HER LIFE. THE WOMAN I KNOW JUST A LITTLE OF, I CAN BARELY FIND IN THIS POEM. PAINFUL TO READ. DON'T WANT TO REALLY COMMENT ON THE CONTENT, BUT WILL SOME AND COMMENT ON THE WORDS. EVEN IN THE PAIN THERE IS THE BEAUTY IN THE ECONOMY OF WORDS HERE. SOME OF THE PHRASING IS AS GOOD AS ANY I HAVE EVER READ. ....Just feels like a razor blade kiss., MY GOD WHAT IMAGERY THAT EVOKES, OR ..As always I manage to strive, OR ....Just this time I didn’t cut as easily as lard....OR...Just want to feel the freedom from that one little cut on my own arm. IT IS DIFFUCULT TO RECONCILE THE SKILL IN CHOOSING THE WORDS THAT PAINTED THIS SNAPSHOT OF YOUR LIFE WITH THE HORROR OF WHAT IM READING..... STOPPED SEVERAL TIMES TO TAKE A DEEP BREATH BEFORE GOING ON. WON'T BLATHER, BUT EARNESTLY HOPE THAT THIS IS NO LONGER THE YOUNG WOMAN I KNOW.......... WELL DONE AS A POEM, BUT OH SO HARD TO READ. ALMOST MAKES ME WANT TO RETREAT BACK INTO THE COWARDICE THAT KEPT ME FROM READING SOME OF THESE, BUT I WILL NOT DO THAT. BOB
