when all the emptiness is gone
and I can breathe again
when you're not the first to jump to mind
when a day passes me by
and I can stand on my own
when moving on doesn’t mean giving in
and when I can face my fears alone
without you right by my side
when showing a smile doesn’t seem so foreign
and maybe someday when I’ve
let all my tears wash away
then I will know it's finally over
you left me for death
cause you weren't impressed by
what the world had to offer.
now as I collapse
I’ve become trapped
in this haunting remedy.
the last melody.
maybe when I can face the day
without giving in to these dreams
maybe when life doesn’t seem so tragic.
when you don't consider me so fragile
and I don't feel so empty
then I will know it's finally over.
you left me for death
cause you weren't impressed by
what the world had to offer
now as I collapse
I’ve become trapped
in this haunting remedy
this last melody.
you know you're missed but you don't care
you didn't want to be brought down
but you aren't coming back now.
rescue me from this feeble struggle
the search for meaning is dragging me under.
and all I feel is cold.
you left me for death
cause you weren't impressed by
what the world had to offer.
now as I collapse
I’ve become trapped
in this haunting remedy
this last melody.
must I end it to find peace?
