The sound of tears
dripping in midnight
a mother in mourning
eyes shut so tight
she roams the street
crying and crying
looking for her infant
which might be dying
growing older and older
she soon died of age
between life and death
she would now engage
the last sound she heard
was the cries of her child
she now walks the streets
so very mild
roaming the roads
tears in her eyes
she searches for her infant
by the sound of your cries
