I Wonder Where She's Going...

Every morning I wake her,
Bright eyes that won't stop glowing,
I look deeply into her waking smile
And wonder where she's going...
As she chases rainbows,
I look on with joy all-knowing,
And as she persues dreams today,
I wonder where she's going...
On the news, sad faces cry,
No longer see their little girls growing...
And as I watch her leave for school,
I wonder where SHE'S going.
The world can be a gaping jaw,
I hear the parents sorrowful drone,
And as she steps into the mouth of danger,
I pray that she'll be coming home.
