BRIXWOOD SCHOOL
School life was great, a lovely misty looking house,
Dotted around lots of gnarled old trees.
It was a spirit-soothing place,
The smell of shrubbery’s lit up my child-like face.
Lovely grounds, a temptation to loose ones mind,
To focus on subliminally visions.
A place to study and unwind.
The clouds hung oppressively low in the heavens,
Shadows grappled around me,
My thoughts turn to poetic verse.
An intense mental whirlwind of rhyme, on grassy verge to run down time.
At morning light I sit and sing,
Birds chorus around me, as if part of my hymn.
I enjoy my school, the grass, the hills,
Even dreary days while everything are still.
Misty looking house, moody, as birds fly by,
Clouds oppressively low in the ever-changing sky.
My thoughts trail to my final years study,
Crammed in dusty books, revision with my buddies.
Present and my past locked in happy shine,
Sweet hopes of success let them be mine.
One life we have, mistakes still to cloud my mind.
Ever-changing worlds I will one-day have to find.
