What you do is really you

Contributed by norm on Thursday, 27th May 2004 @ 07:25:02 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

I often sit and wonder what the heck it's all about,
Why our love for one another is a thing that I must doubt,
Why a stranger that you meet is not a person that you kiss,
Why our animal-like feelings aren't simple just like this.

Why sophisticated nonsense we do bring upon ourselves,
Why simplicity of action we do put upon our shelves
Why our thought could be so easy and our lives could be serene,
Instead of living lives of swingers with our thoughts that do careen.

From this day foward, dear ones, this is what I aim to do,
Kiss and hug my fellow beings, to show my love for you,
And when my life is over, they'll have to say of me,
He may have had his faults but he was good as he could be.

This one I like much.......but I must say I'm glad I'm human and not of the K-9 breed.

Thank you for sharing this.

Shucks Durn, you don't have to hug and kiss me.
You do everyday by writing poems like this and with your poetry.
Hugs and kisses to you too!
I'm a hugger......so watch out
love
