When You Grow Up
---------------------------
I dream of when you’ll grow up,
And I can take you fishing.
Or maybe bike riding,
If that’s what you be wishing.
Maybe camping in the woods,
Eating marshmallows by the fire.
Or sliding down a hill,
On an inner tube of a tire.
Baseball games in the park.
Running the bases after the game.
Or football in the field,
Playing in the rain.
Catch a flick in the theater,
Laughing in the aisles.
Or boxing in the ring,
Punching till the bell.
Having a guys night out,
Just you and me, father and son.
Someday soon, when you’re older,
We’ll have lots of fun.
