Death of Despair

As I walk along the lonely street,
I think of the earth,
So full of lies and deceit,
The agonizing cries of a child's birth
Where people think only of themselves,
Their only concern is of money and wealth
On a murderer's hands the smell of hatred and death,
A mile away a man takes his last breath
In the schoolyard the bullies beat up the mild and meek,
All of these actions make me start to think
Then the answer comes to me,
On how great life would be
If people would love one another,
Like a child with its mother
If they would just show compassion and care,
The result would be the death of despair
