My mistake sir when I told you that I cared
Let the words slip out so quickly
Sudden silence left me sacred
Undermining all my hopes dear
That you might be that special one
Who might save me from the humdrum
Take me on some flight of fancy
Like Greta Garbo and Fred Astaire
We ‘d dance across the ballroom floor
My mistake to think you were
A gentleman of great distinction
Lay your coat upon the ground
To save my slippers from life’s mud
Oh no, I was terribly mistaken
If I thought you were that one

My God, but I wish I would have thought of that. It fit's a current situation of the moment perfectly. It's almost like you wrote it for me.
Keep it coming.

Yes, we have far too much in common. There are not knights on white chargers, but you knew that, didn't you?
