I wasn't sure at all
What they were thinking
As I hobbled down the street
With my one shoe.
But ask me they did,
One after the other.
'Have you lost a shoe?
Poor love'
They needed to know
I had actually just found
the shoe.
If only I could tell them.
If only I could speak.
If only.
