Are you happy now?
You’ve broken me on the inside.
I can’t find the pieces that belong to me-
The pieces you so carelessly scattered while you played your cruel game.
Your complacent air of superiority radiates,
As does your sheer narcissism.
You’re so cruel and careless;
I can’t comprehend why I let you do this to me.
I suppose my evident ignorance was my shield,
But finally my shield has been broken.
I witnessed the act of my pride shattering into a million pieces and falling to the ground.
Then I watched it get swept away by the wind, as if it were never to return.
My confidence was snapped in half,
In such a way that it could not be put back together.
My independence was destroyed-
So intricately mutilated that there was no hope for reconstruction.
You laughed demonically as you toyed with my invisible strings.
You were embraced by a disgusting joy as you ran my broken pieces through your hands like sand.
You received pleasure from torturing me so,
As your maniacal smile showed.
My fears and insecurities humoured you,
So you continued to play around with them.
My relentless pain gave you confidence,
Making you so egotistical and inflated that I’m sure you developed a psychological condition.
You had me almost to the point of total manipulation,
Which was your intention.
I was to be your marionette,
And you were to be my master.
Too bad I experienced a revelation.
Now all your sick fun has surprisingly halted.
I’m so sorry, Master,
But my time in your demented fun house is over.
