Still Awakenings

Contributed by Soulless on Tuesday, 25th May 2004 @ 06:41:59 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Careful to keep the hushed silence
Caught between cracks of light behind the door
Surely these clues you left hold little importance
I know your there so what are you hiding for

Candles light blows out
I've woken them
I've broken the cries of innocence
Will the darkness hide me?
Will they find me here?
Softly I cry out
Only you can save me

Uneven breaths escape the night
The moon shines down and holds it splendor
Revealing me under the silver spotlight
They know where I linger

Candles light blows out
I've woken them
I've broken the cries of innocence
Will the darkness hide me?
Will they find me here?
Softly I cry out
Only you can save me
Only you can save me now

Chanting reflects through the empty halls
Desperate as I need you here to haunt me
My only will to stand falls
I close my eyes as their cries engulf me
Fearing for my life’s content
As night enfolds around me

Candles light blows out
I've woken them
I've broken the cries of innocence
Will the darkness hide me?
Will they find me here?
Softly I cry out
Only you can save me
Only you can save me now

Trully amazing poem.......... I always read the dark poems, as I write a few myself, and I always seem to be amazed at the strength and the great poems that people write.

Well done,
