A man without body

* * *
O Mother, give me power
To conquer worldly passion;
Thou art the cause of passion
How can I conquer thee?
When ever I tried to enter
The seed-less divine trance
Thou lit up the passion fire
As I tried to enter the secret
Cave in my heart I was lost
In the valley of thy breasts
You are the endless passion
Born from the mind of God
Covering the hearts of men
Like the blue sky of illusion
How do I conquer thy nature?
Thou art the consort of God
Thou art the cloud of passion
I wanted to drink moonshine
Of knowledge but thou rained
Dark ignorance into my body
Filled fascination in my eyes
Filled passion fire in my mind
Thou brought nudity of beauty
Into visions and all my dreams
Filled my brain with lusty images
Was it thy justice to turn me mad,
When I sought the love of God?
I tried to forget my sex and gender
Yet you did not stop thy jugglery
Brought youthful bodies of maidens
Into the embrace of my cosmic body
Tested my ego, and broken my vows
Was it thy law to play blue films
in the minds of thy true devotees?
Why did you laugh at me mother?
Why didn’t you let me be pure one?
I desired only to remain a little drop
In the ocean of thy consciousness
If my male ego is an obstruction to
Reach thee burn down my male ego
If my body is a reason for my failure
Burn down body and reduce to ashes
O mother, let me erupt like a bubble
And disappear in thy blissful waves
Of supreme consciousness for ever!

If thy eye offends thee, pluck it out.....but not my eye, but the carriage that walks within....pluck it out...

Excellent advice but I have learned to expect nothing but the best from you, you never disappoint. Thank you for another golden page my friend.

Chris

Another excellent write, venkat! I think I am in love with your unique way of phrasing. Whatever it is, I look forward to your poetry. You have expressed the struggle within. A catch 22 if you may."Thou art the cause of passion How can I conquer thee?" hmmmm.

Ahh, the snare of passion has thee bewildered. As long as the search is continued, the light inside will over ride any snare, and your ashes will scatter amongst the lands of lotus', to purity's domain.
Your words are beauty in the fields of the soul search....ahhhhhh simple beauty!
Angel always...godspeed...joni

Your words tell of the age old Indian culture of poets, wordsmiths, religious persons of great respect. It is a pleasure indeed to read the works of one that is following in the footsteps of the venerable poets of the past. Meditation is sadly lacking in the modern world. We would all be better citizens if we followed the simple truths that were written so very long ago and passed down from generation to generation.

Hello venkat,

The theme of this piece has been explored by both men and women since, well forever I imagine. Men seem to be simultaneously blessed and cursed with strong desires and it is a wise one who looks within for balance.

This theme's antipode would be interesting too. I think a piece praising a man's nature could work as a foil here.

thank you for the write,

ddf

This is a great write. You have a lot of wisdom. Very few men can say that they do not have this temptation. I am not one of them. This is one of your best writes
