Nothing’s more important
than choosing the right blade
for he upon whom the Lord
bestows his accolade.
Nothing is more vital
than making that blade hard
so it can cut through anything
from succubus to bard.
Nothing is more needed
than making that blade shine
so that the blood of evil men
runs from the tip like wine.
Nothing’s as essential
as having that sword blessed
for those who have been touched by God
are stronger than the rest.
Nothing is more wanted
than this last decree, I say.
Please make the sword look beautiful.
It’s only for display.
