Lamely, we stumble through the maze
Looking for direction, at least a sign
Where should we turn
Alone, we search and struggle
Hoping, always that an answer can be had
Why must it be so
Futilely, hands reach in a plaintive gesture
Heart breaks from the desperate need
What do we have to do
Silently, we scream our pain
Sullenly, we gaze at the past, only hearing echoes
When will we find the answer
Wistfully, we hide our sorrow from ourselves
Dejectedly, we face another forced dawn
Who will dry our tears?

This was a very powerful line, and I commend you for such a stellar read. Meaningful segment such as those, and including the entire last stanza, really hold me. This one was no exception. Thank you |
