To wonder what life, is truly about
To hold fear and hate, to give our love out
To see through the soul, with unclouded eyes
To overlook death, to filter the lies
To build a great empire, to watch it fall down
To elect a great king, who forefits the crown
To kill one another, for what things we lack
To lend out a hand, to get stabbed in the back
To win an to lose, to be foolish and wise
To size up the matter, to break down and cry
To hold many secrets, for truth to be nigh
And how long we live, to watch our time fly by

Time seems a fleeting thing, does it not? I ponder such things all the time, but reading them from another's perspective is something else. I really enjoyed this read as it served a great purpose to me. |
