You say hello
and treat me kind.
Yet I know I'm different.
You go shopping and buy pink things
while I look at knives.
And so I know I'm different.
You shriek at blood
while I grovel and awe.
Another reason why I'm different.
You gossip and dance
instead I lurk in a corner and write.
Now I know I'm different.
You don't know the dark things
but they sleep in my bed.
This is how we're different.
