Taste...Still got it.
What a waste...
The years go rolling off my tongue.
Swallow, hard,
The bitter regrets,
Your words won't wash it clean this time.
You just fill my mouth with lies again,
Lips laced with
Part with mine.
Why can't you just tell it like it is?
Because there's a taste of mistruth
I can't forget
As it lingers in the roof of my mouth,
Soiling all the spoken
And that which is
To be talked of yet.
