Something inside me seemed to bleed black
If only it was for a while
This sort of, cold, apathetic feeling
Leaving this cynical exterior to grate against your skin
I ask of nothing and you ask of the same
Yet you seem to remove my hostile coat
You don’t know this but you intimidate me
It intrigues me more and more
You don’t know this but you bring out the other side of me
It completes me
The sense of knowing only you can see me
You don’t know this but you amaze me
Like nobody I’ve ever met
I wrap myself in this fraudulent layer of self confidence
Leaving enemies in my path
I’m an insecure, dependant *****
Maybe I’m too hard on myself
You don’t know this but you give me security
When you hold my hand in yours
I know nothing will get in my way
Absolutely nothing
And I promise you the same thing as my fingers curl around yours
You don’t need to romance me with over used words
You don’t know this but you’re my reality
A confusion fills uselessly in my skull
Trying to make sense
Of the appreciation I feel just to have you hold me
As we watch everything around us die
The feeling of wanting another human being
A ***** up insecure feeling
I apologise, I know it’s something you believe in
Considering my skeptical nature
I can see it in your eyes you do
So how do you explain a crazy fear?
To actually know I finally found the answer
That happiness
That tingles at the bottom of your stomach
You don’t know this but I’m so grateful I found you
To have you just being a part of my life
Thank you for being you
You don’t know this, or maybe deep down you do
As cynical as I am, I am in love with you.
