Had I Written a Poem for You

Contributed by Silent-No-More on Sunday, 23rd May 2004 @ 11:27:22 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Had I written a poem for you
You’d have known so much more
Then it would have been so clear
That it was you I longed for
You would have wanted, perhaps
To be with me evermore

In lieu of writing a poem of you
Foolish I tried instead to speak
You thought I’d be whole alone
You didn’t know I was weak
I realize that what I left unsaid
Brought this future bleak

Had I written a poem for you
It would have been much more
It should have continued along
Might have been me you cared for
And never would have come the day,
You said the words no more

I want to share with you something I wrote this morning. I think you will understand.
We don't know what might've been, and we have to face up to what is. It's not fun, but getting beyond it makes life so much better.
Stitch
Stone on Stone
What pressure is necessary
to force coal into diamond?
To mold a stone heart
into one that can feel?
Are our circumstances
equal to our own hardness?
Turn the crush inside out,
it is the balm that heals.

This one would really deserve one of those not so random real hugs.

Its so sad.

Interesting how even the not so good things in life can inspire such a great poem.

I applaud you for being able to share your emotions with all of us.

Thank you,

Timber
