Life’s Adversities

The hardships in life are all to common-
As day after day we trudge through every second-
Struggling to keep the sense of direction in which to travel-
And to maintain the reality of our mental state of well being…

Disaster seems to lurk around each turn-
And for each step we take-another one we must make-
For should we stop for one moment and chance to catch our breath-
We find that life’s adversities are there ready to pounce upon us…

The afflictions that are imposed upon our shoulders-
Often causes more distress than we find we can bear alone-
Which in turn finds us without the willpower to continue onward-
For all things seem to be lost in the struggles that we must endure…

During our times of trials and errors-
Sometimes life gives us an ace in the hole-
Someone with which we can rely on for the support we need-
A friend to share the burden of the load with which we carry…

Should you feel that life is a catastrophe-
And that each step forward leads you backward-
Then I will be here to hold your hand in my own-
And I will help you to be strong for the days to come…

=]] wonderful write. i loved the message. i also loved the last stanza. if only there were more people like you.
