Pretty little crystal eyes
Glisten in the light
Screaming, holding back the fear
Listen to the fight
There’s just a little something in my eye
Don’t worry; it’s not like I want to die
I shield them all with my disguise
So you can’t see my crystal eyes
Please don’t look me in the eyes
They’ll shatter from your glare
My glass eyes will be left broken
And you’ll see what’s really there
It’s not a tear I promise its not
Can you teach me how to love? I forgot
Please can you just accept my lies?
So you don’t have to see my crystal eyes
I beg you not to look any further
Just in case you seem to find
The inner workings of this twisted mind
The truth will hurt and so my heart cries
But just don’t look into my crystal eyes
Shimmer, shimmer, tear, tear
Regret, heartbreak, sorrow and fear
Apologies, pain, betrayal and goodbyes
Seem to have formed my crystal eyes.
