Siblings

Topic: FamilyPoems

I have two sisters who I do not see,
I also had a brother who was older than me,
When he was born his journey to heaven had already begun,
My mother at fifteen had lost a son.

All three of us were put into care,
We’ve all got sad stories to share,
We all had a mother that didn’t want to share her love,
She never wanted us when push came to shove.

I met my younger sister years ago,
Friendship to me , she did show,
I was confused it felt so strange,
My life had already been though so much change.

A few years later my older sister got in contact,
I didn’t know how to react,
This may sound selfish, but I had my new family around me now,
I don’t want to let my sister’s in I don’t know how?

I wonder what my brother would have been like?
Would he have gone to University or ridden a motorbike,
Maybe one day all three of the sisters can meet,
Then flee back to our own safe retreats.

My youngest sister Rebecca will now be seventeen.
I wonder how her life has been,
The eldest Victoria, who I’ve never seen,
And then there’s me Krissie, the one in between .

this was really heartfelt and expressed in a manner unknown to most. it is sad to hear that your mother has so little regard for you as a child but i hope you the best. you seem like a really nice person with a good head on your shoulders, hopefully like you say you can "flee back to your own safe retreats" with your sister. good luck, please keep writing.
