I fear the night as it comes
The starry black sky
And the lack of sun
For that’s the time
When I cry in bed
When I am all-alone
With only a sleepless night ahead
I pray constantly
To have someone that loves me
A person who cares
But it seems that no matter how hard I pray
The Lord does not answer my prayers
Maybe you and I were not meant to be
Maybe you were right
Therefore, here it comes again
The fall of the sun
And the beginning of the night
So till my last day on earth I’ll cry
Alone in my room, On my bed
With only sorrow in my heart
And thousands of sleepless nights ahead

Loneliness is a horrible feeling, and you did so well at describing it. I like how you focused completely on night, because when someone is really that lonely...it seems like day never comes, but night repeats itself over and over again. Sad poem. Well written.
