They say a picture is worth a thousand words
I claim these words are a thousand pictures
Each by themselves meaning nothing
Yet together are glimpses into a soul
Mixed, stirred with heart and history
These jumbled syllables are but brief instances in time
A life fraught with love, anger, joy, sadness and fear
Without which, would just be as a blank page
Let the eyes and ears become the lense for this portraiture
Your mind, even your essence will be the film
So let these words fall as they may
You shall see the man I was, am, perhaps to be
If at times, there is some out-of-focus moment
There isn't a problem with your reception
It's just a fear, an indecision or even a change
Only a movement, hopefully to something better
Now, sit back and watch with an open heart and mind
Allow these 'pictures' to show This world
And when it's over, you might understand
What it was like to be this man.
