"It must have been something chemical",
I hear the doctor say.
There I lay, half dead,
Half awake. Half listening.
It wasn't like this, never was.
Life used to be worth living,
But all that worth was
Washed out to sea.
I used to enjoy it, days in the sun.
I used to enjoy it, whilst I was a cake that was 'half done'.
Now I'm done, as a cake, done with my life.
The deaths which did surround me,
Mother, Brother, Father, Lover.
I became the fly, fascinated by the flame of disease.
I became a contagious dark mood,
Infecting the ones which did surround me.
Spreading like malaria through a room of pure pupils.
And only eye could see the cure,
Death.
Morbid thoughts all around me,
Wondering what I had left.
I took, and unwrapped, a newly bought knife,
And used it on my chest.
Scarification was so cool.
It was the 'thing to do',
I showed it to my friends, they were interested by the trend,
But they couldn't see me screaming out in a physical form.
All they saw was blood stained skin,
I subliminaly infected them with my malaria sin.
Quickly and heavily,
Like a fat boy eats a cake,
They took the depressant that was I.
And drank the malaria intake.
So I took it one step further,
The cake was burning black.
I took the same knife that i used before,
Blood red stains upon the black
Handle.
Took it with my wrighting hand
And sliced the artery down my arm,
Tracing every last cappilary.
I did it three times,
After all, three's the charm.
My head appeared heavy,
The oxygen was wearing thin.
And that's the last I remember,
Before I woke up here.
And that's the last I remember,
When I was so near
To taking my life, as if it were my own.
