Cut on the Dotted Line

Contributed by paper-heart-hero on Thursday, 20th May 2004 @ 11:53:04 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I’m sorry were the words
That slipped from her lips
As her wrist dripped, from her fingertips

And I said it’s ok
Cuz I know that one day
I’ll take you away from this

And with every drop that hit the sink
The walls of my heart would start to shrink
And she looked at me as if she were dead
And through crying eyes she slowly said

How can we dance on broken glass
How can we fly on broken wings
How can we love with broken hearts
How can we feel anything

Don’t apologize
Just wipe your eyes
I understand that you feel at times

But I need you here
Don’t disappear
Just hold my hand for one more year
And I’ll show you
I love you
I’m always thinking of you
Just stay, don’t leave
Just stitch it up don’t bleed

Cuz with red and silver dreams
We can make it to the end

this is very heavy, but I think it would make a beautiful and very moving song. The refrain is quite touching, I think it brings the whole piece together.
