A little too far

I once lived inside you, only to drift so far away,
I drifted far beyond the final comprehensible star,
That doesn’t mean you can’t see me, I’d be there if you’d try looking yonder,
It’s just that I now live in a world a little too far
A distance invariable, why not move close again?
Nay, ‘tis unattainable, for the first step is with thee,
All strings have been broken, there’s no cord to pull back,
I can hear you and see you, but can you see and hear me?
I be the bright and shining star of night,
None gives thought to my life or my being,
They see not the flames of wrath that give light to my form,
The hologram of bliss is all that they’re seeing
I shine brightly as I demise all my physical powers,
I long for to catch the corner of your eye,
Strength is less than naught lest I lose your love,
Why do I feel as though my ending is nigh?
I fade once I flicker and erupt into a silhouette,
All I’ve worked for, where do they be?
Nay, your face is unchanged as you willingly turn away,
Hast thou forgotten me?
