Trapped behind the Mirror

Contributed by jt on Thursday, 20th May 2004 @ 10:02:27 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Suicide is death my friend
But what is death compared with pain
Do what they do, stay on the path
You know you must go with the grain
I'm trapped in the mirror behind my face
I see the world is back to front
The glass will move but will not break
I try until my mind is blunt
Surrounded by images Ive seen before
The ones I dream about at night
I cant escape, I cannot win
I live to always lose this fight
Surrounded by people, I feel so alone
Shrouded by darkness
The hate Ive been shown
Ive got nowhere to go
I have no place called home
Out of the light and the warmth
Ive been thrown
Theres noone to help, Noone to care
Noone to talk to, Noone to share
The secrets that hide, that dont ever dare
To be let out for listening. It just isnt fair
My hand is outstretched, yet noone holds on
One minute you're there, the next you are gone
I dont deserve this so what have I done
I need you to help, I just need someone
Im scared that Im going to lose this again
Im living in fear, Im living in shame
You dont want me round
Yet Im here like a stain
Feel my fear
Hear my scream
See my tears
Seal my pain

You have described your pain very well in your work, it is a powerful piece and has been worded greatly indeed.

This is a very strong vivid write. Keep working.
