Return to where it started,
The origin,
And where it ended.
Re-route every thought
To the point of familiarity,
Where the darkness enclosed us,
Safe in each other's arms,
And where it forced itself
Between us
Lost and reeling
Through the haunted blackness.
And when you do,
Remember me.
Try as you might
To remind yourself
What drew you there,
What sent you running
And deliver your answer
To me
Beneath the stars and lamplight
Of a place
Direct to my heart.
