He is a furry, tiny, fuzz ball, a curious dwarf bunny.
Irresistibly delightful of curious pedigree.
I spotted him in a pet shop nibbling on alfalfa hay.
He is such a wacky guy! With a powder puff tail.
Ovals of his eyes are lined with white, with a hypnotizing stare.
In a funny sort of way.
His coat is ash black with a salt and peppered chest.
Truly looks a nobleman wearing his evening best.
His upbeat attitude is a totally comical jest.
A "lick response" confirmed his remarkable affinity.
I could not resist taking home, this little mischief-maker.
Named him Mr. Tux, my tiny lagomorph companion.
Acting a wee bit shy Mr. Tux was expert feisty faker.
His antics can give an attitude and can be unrelenting.
Tux sits up to be rewarded his yogurt treats.
Jigs and bounces up and down saying "Did you see that?
Sometimes he dashes under the bed.
Enough to drive me crazy!
All that matters however he is a part of my life.
Prabha Trimurty
I dedicate this poem to Bruce & Aparna Trimurty Jue

awwww..... love bunnies!
Watch out though - if they get startled, they can really hurt themselves. I lost a bunny that way - he jumped and hurt his back in a way that could not be fixed. :-( |

I just added a comment to this but unfortunately it didn't show up.Anyways, this was a great poem and I loved reading EVERY verse of it! You truly are a gifted writer and a funny one too."Truly looks a nobleman wearing his evening best. " was a great verse which made me chuckle as well as "proud owners of Mr.Tux". I also have a rabbit and dedicated a poem to him with his pic up there,if you ever want to check it out. They may be small, but they sure do bring so much love to a household I admit.Tell Mr.Tux Bundles says hi,
