Half

Contributed by xoblondiebabix3 on Wednesday, 19th May 2004 @ 07:39:48 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

Happiness is not whole
Happiness is half
Half of happiness
Half of sadness
Half of being yourself
By being sad
Half of being happy
By who you really arent
Half of darkness hidden somewhere
Half of the light trying to find its way
Half of your friends and the ones you like
And also the ones that you dont
Happiness is always half
Happiness is sadness deep down inside
Never can anything be whole
The light and darkness is always holding you back
Everything is always half
Half of the life and reality you see
But also what you dont
Half is always confusing
When you look deep inside
You see that everything
Isnt what it seems to be

I understand the despair, however two halves WILL make a whole. Find your other half!
Very well done.

Interesting concept, made me think.

You have a point...there is something about happiness that is only half of...something. Perhaps it's only for some people...

I like this poem, excellent job.

Oh, the masks we wear. It is so that we hide behind those halves, and choose to reveal so much. Individuality..gotta love it. This was a pleasant and thought-provoking read. I appreciate it.
