You've emptied your sharpenings
But I've still got a splinter
What would I give for a clean break?
Straight in half
Get out from in me
I don't want you near me
Suspended, emotionless
Marionette
Painstakingly crafted to appear real.
Strings in one hand, scissors in my other
But it hurts too much to curl my fingers around the metal. The splinter is so
Restricting...But I've warmed to it.
Until I find a small enough pair of tweezers,
I suppose you can stay
Wedged deeply under my skin
Smug, and only vaguely conspicuous from the surface.
I don't care though. The only eyes I am concerned about are at the back of the room, and they're short-sighted. Like me.
I'm such a fool.

ahh this 1 i like. its very hidden about its actual insperation and message, but theres so obviously one there. i like it lots.
