You make me sick
With your stupid schemes.
Oh, foolish Phaaroh, in all your finery
Tinted, glinting with the tide of blood and sweat
Gushing from your slaves.
Materialistic man
With a sweet tooth for development
Nothing is good enough
Look out at the bare landscape
from your throne and
All you can see is new industry
Is it the fans or the servants blocking
the real vision?
I thought preservation was a tradition
you upheld, Mr. Almighty?
You should know
Some things are sacred
Please...
Just let them be

Nice! That's how I feel about nature too, I like to go for long walks where I can see nature; it is getting harder to find places where you do not hear cars going by. I hope the mall builders leave some places for us too. I hope they read your poem. |
