Thinking of you & death.
Of the government & thought control.
Take an Uzi
to Big Brother’s eyes.
There’s no room
for compromise--
when Uncle Sam’s
bought my soul.

I have the privilege of being the first to read and comment on your poem, Uzi. It is good therapy to express one's feelings through writing and sharing them with others. I know you aren't feeling very positive about your future and I'm sorry for that. I hope you can remember that Big Brother includes all kinds of Americans with varied thoughts about our troubles and yours. I pray for heroes to rise again and honesty and morality and kindness to rule between all humanities. Love,

I really enjoyed reading this. I was going to say that you should write out the word and, but then I changed my mind. I like the fact that you used the symbol. It pulls you and death together along with government and thought control. I don't know if you intended it to do so, but it works really well. You should definately leave it like that. You really did an amazing job of capturing war and fighting. I think this is brilliant!

P.S. - If you could read and review one of my poems in return, it'd be much appreciated. |
