That WAS Some BAD Trip...

I don’t know how much blood I lost.
I just know my head was beaten, and lost.
I felt so cold. I just fell on the floor.
I might have fainted or I was sleeping, but I’m not sure.
I had some dark nightmares, which filled me with fear.
Then they went, and happy memories appeared.
I think they were flash-backs; they went straight over my past.
They made me wake, finally, at last!
I hadn’t taken drugs, I’d only cut my skin.
But it was some bad trip; I don’t want to go there again!
I got up, got undressed, got into bed.
I felt cold and shaking, and sore in my head.
Laura’s voice went round and round.
She worried about me, but she can’t help me now…
I woke up this morning, feeling so tired!
With a darker pain, i'd suddenly acquired.
I don’t know why this thing happened.
But I did, and I’m feeling opened!

Maybe when push came to shove u were forced to see that good outweighed the bad? Sometimes even if its past memories, even those is what keeps a person going and looking forward. I love the poem. Keep writing dear. |
