No familiar
shapes retained
No pleasant
images of trees
of sea and sky
No colours
of green fields
But huge and mighty forms
that do not live
like living men
Moving slowly
through the mind by day
and were a trouble
to my dreams at night
His children have not
reached their saviour
They shall be crushed
without reason or mercy
at the gate

Hmmm. Interesting and engaging poem. Sounds like you're describing shadow people to me in the first few lines. |
