No Siree!

Contributed by liquidsunshine on Tuesday, 18th May 2004 @ 05:51:17 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

I cannot post this poem I wrote out on the Internet.
For someone I know could see it and this is what I fret.
It’s just so full of secrets that I’ve never told before.
Should someone come across it I think I would feel quite sore.
It’s hard to figure out the proper action I should make.
The thoughts are so embarrassing and my poor heart could break.
See, the one that I have written of would surely jest a lot
On reading something that reveals these thoughts of my weak spot.

Wow, what an interesting twist! I liked it. I think you should tell the person you wrote that about about the other poem that you cannot post. I think you'll feel much better if you just tell them your feelings instead of hiding them.

I've been there too... it's a tough spot but telling the person is the only way out of those feelings... if they are truly your friend you'll have nothing to lose. If you don't tell them you'll be forever wondering on what could have happened... it's always better to know.

Good writing... I enjoyed.

Poetry
reveals so much
about our inner selves
into the cracks, the crevices, the canyons
do we delve
And when at last
we do release
our pens doth overflow
but all the secrets that we write
not everyone should know.

A poem on a poem! Convolutions...

I understand the hesitation, though. But I think your poem was good. It needed to be said.
