These tears I cry are all for you,
They've been locked up for so long but now they fall,
Down my face, like a calm stream,
Then metamorphasising into a rushing river.
As I sit next to the spot where you lay,
All I feel is sorrow and guilt.
I never got to say goodbye,
Didn't get to see you one last time.
I wish you could hear me so I could tell you I miss you,
Wish you could hear me so I could tell you goodbye.
It's true that you don't know what you've got until it's gone,
I found out the hard way.
I hope you're happy wherever you are,
You've been reunited with the one you love.
Enjoy your rest, your peace, in your eternal sleep,
Don't stir, don't hate, don't peep.
I wish you could hear me so I could say,
I miss you and I'll be thinking of you for all of my days.
Sleep well, you'll never be forgotten.

| Thankyou all you lovely people you! I actually wrote this poem whilst I was next to his grave, was having a rough time at that point, so I went to see him. Then I just needed to get my emotions out. Glad I sparked emotion in you. Thanks for reading :) |
