The glass shatters
The hopes, dreams, and self-image
With it
A drunk stumbles
A wife puts her kids to bed
I hide in my room
But I am sick of hiding
I am the only one that he can yell at
I run to my room
But I am sick of running
Sick of hiding
I want to move
Want to love him
But it is too hard
Love me Lord
He won’t
I wont get hurt by him again
Take me deep into your presence
Take away the pain
Hold me, Love me
Show me the way to love him
Not because I have to
But so I want too

I am so sorry you had to live like this and deal with such pain. I do hope you have come to terms with it in your heart and soul and have found peace within yourself.

Lil Ange of Friday
Mon petit Ange du Vendredy
Are you French Canadian?
You wrote these beautiful and very moving lines quite a while ago, and things may have changed radically.
I believe they have changed and that you are comfortably in HIS arms. In the arms of "Unconditional Love"
Your poem is heart-rending.
Love and peace
Elizabeth |
