MORAL PROSTITUTES

Contributed by steeleyes on Tuesday, 18th May 2004 @ 03:03:57 AM in AEST
Topic: political

They talk in moral absolutes
Everything cut and dried
These are moral prostitutes
So many innocents died

Their morals are simply relative
To their next bigoted view
They are not fixed at all
But swinging so untrue

For them a fact reflects their mind
That’s all it has to do
To confirm what they already believe
Corrupt through and through

Within a sanctimonious bubble
They rant in vacuous terms
Believing all Bush tells them
Crawling obedient worms

All these moral absolutes
Are fixed against their FOES
If its American wrongs we talk about
We find then ANYTHING GOES

These are the immmoral right
They are an ugly crew
Preaching their bigoted viewpoints
As all good despots do

They are fully unaware
Of what this constitutes
These ugly, arrogant, hate-filled few
These moral prostitutes

Vitriolic and provocative, as always.
Well, written.

Good write my friend. I haven't been on in a while and its a joy to read your poems once again. I loved the line about crawling, obedient worms. A beautiful line.
