Baby's Breath

Contributed by SeanMcHaney on Tuesday, 18th May 2004 @ 02:33:30 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

No one told me she would die today,
I turn my face up to the sky.
I choke up as I try to say,
So instead I choose to cry!

God has chosen to take her life away,
I wish it was me who did die.
I need to find another way,
My life is one big lie!

Sitting in the aftermath,
Listening to the children laugh,
The soldier’s death,
No baby’s breath,
Broken Hearted I am alone!

No one told me I’d go insane today,
Rain falls down from the sky.
I wake up wishing it was yesterday,
Maybe then she would not die!

This is a very astounding poem. How we face death determines in part what type of people we are. You are an upright man in my sight and that is saying alot.
