She yells.
He taunts.
It echoes
all day long.
A hurtful,
painful melody;
a most disturbing song.
They tell me of
how horrible
I am in every way.
Even though
it is not always said, I
hear it every day.
They hate me and it
hurts, that I’ll fall ever
short of all the things
they demand from me,
despite the tears
poured. They don’t
listen to me
or take what I
say to heart. They
will never know how
much they’ve torn me
apart.

Sounds oh so sadly familiar. Sad things is, it never really changes, they can't help it , just who they are. With my parents, I forgave them , but I'll never really like them as people. They are not people I would choose to associate with.
