Obviously

Contributed by Silent-No-More on Monday, 17th May 2004 @ 11:40:52 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

It is written all over you
I see it there as clearly
As if it were printed on your t-shirt.
Your world is crashing in
And you’re struggling to know
What to do or not to do about it.
You’re pretending that you
Are in control, that it isn’t happening
Though it is obviously so

It is screaming within you
I hear it now as clearly as
If it were blasting through the silence
Your heart is torn apart
And you’re wanting to know
Who will care or not care about it
You’re thinking that you
Are in charge, that it isn’t overwhelming
Though it is obviously so

Obviously
I’m right there with you
Obviously
That’s how I know

Very expressive and quite thought-provoking. I love it (I'm determined not to use the word beautiful again, I use it to much) So i'll say that its gorgeous. That last stanza-verse-thingy is just a perfect ending.

Take Care

Wow, so powerfully emotional. Funny how life has a way of inspiring a poem. Yet, I feel your poems aren't merely just a poem, they are vivid in raw emotion and brilliant in the way you write; again, seeming so effortless.

Very well written.

Thank you,

Timber

Thanks for empathizing with me. It's like you are reading my thoughts and looking inside my psyche. Powerful intimations of self struggle. Amazing write!
Butch
